Ecospecifier is a platform that supports architects, builders & home owner in there choice for eco and health-preferable building materials.
It is an online database an educational knowledgebase.


3000 eco-preferable products and materials including descriptions, images, Material Safety Data Sheets and independent eco-performance assessment.


On ecospecifier you can find decision making guides for specific product groups, e.g. timber, paint, walls etc.. You will also find case studies, feature articles and links to relevant standards and eco-labels.
It gives you product descriptions and contact details of green building material suppliers and helps you to specify the right products for green star rated developments.

Miglas is listed on ecospecifier as sustainable and health-preferable solutions for windows.

The entry is only possible by passing an independent third party audit.

Miglas' Product Listing

Miglas' AliClad range are timber framed, exterior aluminium clad, double glazed glass doors and windows. Designed to achieve 5 star energy ratings, Miglas offer project-specific custom designed sizes and shapes.

The external aluminium frame can be powder-coated in a range of architectural colours, and provides a low-maintenance, long-life product that still achieves the thermal and aesthetic benefits of timber.
Miglas windows are certified under the Window Efficiency Rating Scheme (WERS) and achieve low “U-Value” ratings and Air Infiltration results.

Electric power window operation for fresh air ventilation and hot air purging and electronic door locking is available.
Miglas recycles waste materials with sawdust recycled in compost, timber off cuts used for kindling and aluminium recycled.

Further Developments

Miglas is currently looking in further improvement of use of timber. FSC (Forest Stewart Council) certified timber is available on request.
